"The energy of the music, every song, makes me feel something," says Mikhall Myers of Philidelphia hard rock outfit Slik Helvetika. Produced by vocalist/guitarist Myers and David Ivory, the self titled debut album shows the promise and energy that this band has to offer.
Myers' best and newest project since his time in the popular Philidelphia band Destroyer, Slik Helvetika features the musicianship of Steve Salter (formerly of Sic Vikki) on drums, additional guitars by Ernie Carletti (formerly of Naughty/Naughty & Carlettis Way) and former Destroyer bassist Tom Zong rounding out the quartet of bruisers. The "one and only" trademark voice and blistering guitar sound of Myers give this band a unique formula to attack your senses as the bold lyric content keeps you guessing as to what this guy will say next!
"We like to maintain good musicianship, while keeping it tasteful, and focus around a good song. This is what we like to listen to.
