The Ring
"Tales From Midgard"
(Scarlet)
For over half a century, J.R.R. Tolkien's seminal work "The Lord Of The Rings" has influenced readers, writers and artists of all disciplines. The trilogy carries a resonance, a mythic sub-text that echoes deep within the psyche of the reader and such is the case with members of The Ring. Jake Samuel (vocals/drums), Pontus Norgren & Marcus Jidell (guitars & bass), some of Sweden's most talented and respected musicians, set out to interpret the great trilogy with their songs and vision, producing and mixing the whole work themselves. With a sense of Dio-era Sabbath soundscape epic, and their own inherent gift for melody, The Ring have created a soundtrack for the imagination that is fired by a reading of Tolkien's work on long winter nights, when the fires crackle and stories are summoned for the telling. When Elder days are close once more, and there is a whisper of magic on the air, when one dares to believe. With the support of Scarlet Records, The Ring have now breathed life in all it's many hues into their vision. First part of the trilogy will be titled "Tales From Midgard" and will feature magnificent cover artowrk done by JP Fournier (Edguy, Avantasia, Immortal, Dragonforce). Join the company, which includes Doogie White (Rainbow, Malmsteen) on "Voices Of The Fallen Kingss" now on the journey of a lifetime.
