Ozric Tentacles
"Live At The Pongmasters Ball"

Live At The Pongmasters Ball is the first true live album to be released by Ozric Tentacles in ten years. Recorded in front of a capacity audience at London's renowned Shepherds Bush Empire, it features classics from the band's vast back catalogue, including "Oddentity," "It's A Hup-Ho World," "Pixel Dream," "Saucers," "Sploosh" and "The Throbbe." The set further includes previously unreleased material and a must be heard jam session. Originally released in 2000 (previously available in the U.S. as an import), "The Hidden Step" is viewed by many as the band's most complete album to date. "Ozric Tentacles mix dub, Indian influences, ambient techno and all round synth weirdness in equal measures and to great effect," said Q Magazine's Simmy Richman upon the albums release. The mini CD "Pyramidion" followed the natural release progression for Ozric Tentacles. This true fan collectable features five compositions, the later four recorded live on the band's last world tour, which included extensive American dates. Ozric Tentacles are, simply put, legends of the English underground. Formed in 1982, the band have come to release over twenty different recordings, a vast body of music that is both complex and fascinating in its scope and vision. It was with 1993's "Jurrassic Shift" that the band made their way onto the English recording charts for the first time. In 1997, the band signed with England's Snapper Music and released their 13th studio album, "Curious Corn." Ozric Tentacles have cultivated a vast worldwide audience. Their music is as unique and similary odd as their name...an unusual blend of space rock, psychedelia, reggae, middle eastern folk and what can only be described as their now signature electronic inspired lunacy.

Ozric Tentacles are planning a European tour for October and have already started to plan a U.S. tour for the summer of 2003.
