Image 6"Look Behind You" This band are a straight up rock band, playing rock the good old fashioned way, straight up, no fooling around. They have a rough and raw sound, influenced by rock masters like the Stones, Aerosmith, Neil Young, and GNR, with some touches of more modern hard rock thrown in. Danny Hardt and Brent Coon are a good guitar team, playing some hard driving axework. Some of the songs have a dark, mournful feel to them, but this is no shoe-staring album. It rocks on full from start to finish, although it closes with an acoustic ballad called "Tomorrow", but that's also a good song. They even throw in a couple of classic rock covers, Skynyrd's "Simple Man" and ZZ Top's "La Grange", respectively. One song, "Lonely Tears", even sounds a little bit like "Simple Man", also a bit like GNR's "Don't Cry". The production is a little rough but you gotta but the guys some slack, as this is a self-produced project. A promising band for sure. |
