One Dead Three Wounded

"Paint The Town"
(1x1 Music)
by Paul Autry

Long story short, "Paint The Town" was initially released on an independent label and it only reached a limited audience. 1x1 is re-releasing the album with two additional tracks and...FUCK...this is one amazing album. I usually don't get too excited when it comes to hardcore music because, in all honesty, there's not a lot of it that I really like. But, this one's got a crisp, clear wall of sound that's just mind blowing and, for the most part, I can understand the vocalist, which is always a plus in my book. Too bad the city of Philidelphia is already on the map because, if it wasn't, this band could claim that they're the group who put it there. Ah, hell...I say we give them the credit for it anyway. After all, from the moment you hit play, One Dead Three Wounded don't waste any time...they get right down to business. They tear you a new one with the first ten tracks and, with the two bonus songs, it's like getting an additional swift kick to the head just for the hell of it. Here's a boot to the face, thanks for listening...WHAM!!!! Besides the killer songwriting, which is solid the whole way through, I think the production is what makes this album special. You can crank this one up to max volume and it still sounds freakin' good. That's impressive. For a band that claims to hate recording, they sure did one hell of a job with this record. I don't know what you look for in a hardcore album. Whatever it is, I'm sure "Paint The Town" has it. In fact, it's probably loaded with it. Check this fucker out...and check it out now.
