Exhibit A"A Safer Place" If you're lookin' for a quick lesson in extreme music, Exhibit A's current release, "A Safer Place," is a good place to start. Some people may complain because there's only six tunes to be found here. But, to be honest, if they would've added any more, it might have been hazardous to your health and I'm sure the band didn't wanna be responsible for putting the weaker members of their audience into a sonic induced coma. I see there's a parental advisory on the cover which warns of explicit lyrics. A few naughty words ain't gonna do you no harm. However, playing this release at max volume might cause permanent brain damage. After being exposed to Exhibit A for sixteen minutes, you'll be lucky if you can still tie your own shoes. I mean, this is some seriously heavy shit. It's not just a straight forward kick in the teeth either. They throw a little variety into their music to keep you on your toes. I'm not really a fan of extreme music. But, like a junkie with an addiction, I need a fix every now and then and when I'm in the mood for an injection, this is the release I'm gonna be reaching for. Like I said, there's only six tunes here and I happen to like every one of 'em. But, if I had to choose one that really stood out for me, I'd probably go with track three, "No One/Nothing." It's a great song on a great album by a great band. Check 'em out. |
