Miles BeyondSelf Titled The first thing that came to mind when I heard this release was Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden. So, I wouldn't be at all suprised if Miles Beyond are influenced by Iron Maiden. In fact, this twelve song release could probably give Iron Maiden a run for their money. I'm not sure how long this band has been around. But, they sound as if they've been performing for years. I mean, hell, the musical quality is equal to that of Iron Maiden and you don't get to that level in one night. We're talking about heavy, power metal here, played to perfection. This is the kind of album that you can't help but get excited about. As soon as the opening track, "Out Of Control," kicks in, you know you're about to hear something special and, more than an hour later, when you finally get to the end of the last track, "A Call To Odin," you're at a loss for words. I went through this disc a number of times already and no matter what I say about it, it wouldn't be enough. You need to hear this album to really appreciate it and that's all there is to it. If you're a fan of Iron Maiden, you'll love what Miles Beyond has to offer. |
