Whoremoan"Youth Must Dare" Vibrant feel good rock music comes out of the U.K. Whoremoan has catchy songs and fantastic musicianship. "Killer Gorilla," bitch slaps you square in the face. It shows this band is not satisfied with only playing clichéd power chords, but pushes it to the next level with various melody lines, break down sections, and awe-inspiring harmonies. The song "Hit and Run," shows these guys know their roots and exhibit it with their bluesy attitude and know-how guitar work complimented with in-the-pocket bass and drum chops. The song that stuck out most in my mind was "All Your Rights." The change ups and layered sonic experiences are attention grabbing. The singer's awesome rock 'n' roll voice that sounds like he smokes a pack a day downed with Jack Daniels breaks the monotony of other bands in their genre. This record is filled with everything for everyone. The music has a lot of range and variety. If you are a person who loves Fu Manchu and Monster Magnet, then you'll also come to love Whoremoan. |
