PRONG |

This is Prong's first live
album. They have a legacy going back over a decade. Prong made a name
for themselves in the metal community in the 90's, releasing several albums
that were well received by fans, but then disbanded in '96 after the release
of their "Rude Awakening" album. Prong have now regrouped, and are back
to terrorize our eardrums once again, kicking off their second phase with
this live album. If one were to categorize Prong, they would go under
"aggressive music". They are metal, they are hardcore, a little bit industrial...simply
put, they are Prong. Their music is an assault on the senses, and played
live, really comes across with a lot of energy and impact. They blaze
their way through every song, launching a full scale musical attack that's
unrelenting and neck breaking! Most of their best known songs are on here,
including "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck", "Broken Peace", "Rude Awakening",
"Prove You Wrong", "Beg To Differ", "Controller", "Close The Door", and
"Unconditional". Surprisingly, one song that is not included is "Lost
And Found", which was once used as the theme music for "Headbanger's Ball".
Aside from that, this is a good collection of Prong's music. They play
very well live, and one can really feel the raw energy and aggression
of their music in a live setting. For newer fans, this album should serve
as a good introduction to Prong, while it will give the longtime fans
something to "snap their fingers, snap their necks" to until a new studio
album comes out. http://www.prong-23.com
