THE PB ARMY
"Equivocators And Mockers Of The Devil Himself"
Sin Klub Entertainment/Space Taxi Records

By Jonathan Mariante

This three man Army describe their music as "Stoner Pop Metal". That does appear to be a good description, as their music contains elements of both. They use fuzztone, downtuned guitars, some Black Sabbath influence (particularly in the songs "The Motherlode", "Keep It To Myself", "Costa Mesa", and "Life On The 13th Floor"), and the sound is rough and raw, but they also have some catchy hooks and melodies, a smooth singer in Keith Bergman (who also plays drums), and songs that can get your toes tapping. The whole album is a hard rocking affair that makes for a fun listen. Looking for something to play at your next party that will get the house rocking? Pop this baby in! The band can also play well and knows how to rock out. The band has a variety of influences, from Black Sabbath to Black Flag, 80's "hair metal", and even a sprinkling of punk in the sound, like Offspring or the Ramones. A good mix played by a good band who put it all together to make a pretty tasty sound! http://www.sinklub.com http://www.pbarmy.com
