Original Motion Picture Soundtrack "Carnivore"

(Dark Star Records)

By: Paul Autry-

Haven't seen the movie. But, judging by the trailer, which is included on this disc, "Carnivore" looks to be one of those B-movie horror flicks. That's not really a bad thing, especially if you're into stuff like that and, on a personal level, I can get into some of those low budget films. They all have their moments. Anyway, the soundtrack is something different. I've actually hear this and, let me tell you, if 80's metal is your thing, you'll find this release to be something you'll favor. There's a lot of good stuff on here, some of which doesn't appear in the film. Tunes such as Holland's "Sacrifice," Nitro's "Freight Train" and "You Stand Accused" by Cutlass stand out. "It's Over Now" by L.A. Guns is on here as well. One of the best songs on here is "Making Monsters" by Madison Rhoades, Rick Cuttino and Cuttlass. Also featured on here, in mp3 form, is the original score by Doug Lofsrom. Bottom line here...this is a pretty rocking CD that you should get into regardless of what you think of the movie. There's a wealth of good material on here and it should be enough to satisfy your hunger for metal. http://www.DarkStarRecords.com
