Mod Flanders Conspiracy"The Tragic Urn Spill" Here's a band that's sure to make your head spin. Ah, yeah, they're not easy to describe. Well, maybe...if you wanna use a single word and call 'em original, which they certainly are. Oh, let's see, what do they got going on here? I only got through a few tunes and I heard a little rock, jazz, metal, hardcore. They borrow from various/numerous musical styles and throw it all together. Kind of like a hard rock martini...shaken, not stirred. A crazy bunch indeed. But, they pull it off rather well. Some of you might not be able to get a good hold on this release because there's a lot going on in each song. Like I said, it'll make your head spin. You never know what to expect from song to song. These guys are on fast forward from the word go. It's a 40 minute, high speed rollercoaster ride through some serious musical madness. It's a very creative album and, once again, gotta use that word original. It's good to see someone doing something different for a change. I like my rock 'n' roll and I never get tired of hearing it. But, every now and then, you need someone to throw a monkey wrench into your listening pleasure so you have a fresh perspective on things, you know. Well, this release will do the trick. If anything, it'll give you something to talk about with your friends. |
