"Out Of The Grave & Into The Dark"
(Misfits Records)
by Paul Autry

Noise rock. Horror punk. Call 'em what you want. Since 1992, they've put out an amazing amount of material and people seem to eat it up. So, they must be doing something right. If their current release, "Out Of The Grave & Into The Dark" is any indication of what they've done in the past, it should come as no suprise that people are really into this band. I love to see a band that's willing to go that extra mile for their fans and this disc certainly does that...and more. It's a fantastic audio/video experience all rolled into one. The first disc features a total of 22 tracks...that's more than an hour's worth of music. Sometimes it's noise, sometimes it's punk. If you're familiar with the band, you already know what they sound like. So, I don't have to go there. The second disc is a DVD feature that gives you the visual side of the band, which is something you need to experience in order to really get what they're all about. You get everything but the kitchen sink here. Three music videos, a short horror movie and a live performance...plus an additional five audio tracks. What more could you possibly ask for? I mean, really, this is the perfect package. I wish a lot of other bands would do something like this. "Out Of The Grave & Into The Dark" is a must have release if ever there was one. 'Nuff said!
