Dirty Americans

"Strange Generation"

The Dirty Americans get down and dirty, cranking out some supercharged rock and roll. Their sound is gritty, blues flavored, and 70s influenced, by bands like Aerosmith, Skynyrd, Ted Nugent, Humble Pie, and Buckcherry, with raw, stripped down production, and some fuzztone guitars. Sounds like something you'd hear in a smoke filled biker bar. The play some pedal to the metal rockers like "No Rest", "Car Crash", "Burn You Down", the title track, "Way To Go", and "Chico", while some of their other songs are more on the trippy, spacey side, like "Time In Space" (aptly titled!), "Give It Up", "Dead Man", and "Control". They also throw in a couple of unplugged tunes, "Deep End" and "We Were Young". While they're not really breaking any new ground, and one could argue they're just retreading the classics, they certainly do rock out and play decently. As long as it's rockin', who needs originality anyway?
