Slunt"Slunt" Well I'm not going dwell on the fact that one-half of this four piece are absolutely beautiful. Seems to be a topic many like to mention when reviewing NYC's punk act Slunt. Head to the website for more on that subject. (many, many photos) The other half are guys. It's the music here. Slunt are a highly charged sack of rock-n-roll. Bordering the punk edge. By the sex fueled, booze swelling lyrics, I doubt you'll be hearing them on the radio any time soon. And that's a shame all in it self. This way you'll just have to wait it out on an internet station, or buy the damn thing. Very catchy songs throughout on this ep. Picture if you will Joan Jett mixed with some AC/DC and a few dashes of The Offspring, Queens Of The Stone Age and Wendy O. Williams. That should give you somewhat of an idea of Slunt's sound. Really though, not a bad listen. Slunt puts the sex back into rock and roll. Slunt are Abby Gennet - lead vocals/guitars, Jenny Gunns - bass/vocals, Pat Harrington - lead guitar and Charles Ruggiero - drums. |
