SIXTY WATT SHAMAN |
| by
Scott "Painkiller" Courtney
SIXTY WATT SHAMAN rip through some excellent blues-tinged hard rock that
lies somewhere between older BLACK SABBATH and newer CATHEDRAL. Reason
to Live is packed top to bottom with killer grooves and wicked hooks.
The music has a down-n-dirty, gritty edge which gives it a raw "live"
sound. The production is perfect! It's not so thin that everything
sounds smashed and muddy, but it's not over-produced to the point that
the music sounds sterile and cold. This album just flat-out rocks! Grab
a six-pack, pour some fresh water in the bong, crank up the volume, and
prepare to do some hell-raising!
