Six Feet Under/Full Blown Chaos/Psychomancer/Asspuppets/Knee Deep In The Dead
The White House II - Niles, MI.
February 8th , 2004

Six Feet Under Originally set for The Palace, in South Bend, IN. Due to the establishment closing, The White House II graciously stepped up as host for the evenings event. Not much of a bummer, Niles MI. Is just a few miles away.

The show starts off with southwest Michigan death core band, Knee Deep In The Dead.KDITD. A pummeling set. The three piece put on a powerful performance. And did a fine job splitting up the vocal duties between them as they lost their singer around new years.

Up next came the bondage wearing, skirt flaunting antics of the Asspuppets. Their motif is a cross between The Spice Girls and Gwar. Masks, nylons, skirts, chains, you name it they wore it. Although amusing to watch, this local hardcore act put out some great old school songs. They say the get ups are due to the fact that they are sick of looking at themselves.

Northern Indiana’s Psyschomancer hits the stage next. This death metal outfit warmed things up nicely. The pit was wailing as they delivered an outstanding performance. Psychomancer are currently working on their latest album due out soon.

Queens, NY. Hardcore bangers, Full Blown Chaos hit the house with some furious hardcore. Tight, tough and fast. In the vein of Hatebreed. And they just happen to be on Stillborn Records.(Jamey Jasta’s label).

Six Feet Under Last but definitely not least. The reason for all to come together. The lords of death metal, Six Feet Under. The place goes nuts. From the first strum of the strings, stage divers commence. Was not a very high jump as the stage was only a couple feet high. Yet still, off the monitors on the front of this little stage they flew. Barnes & Co. We’re on it. They were tearing some shit up. A couple of songs in we lost the mic.Butler, Swanson and Gall trudge on . Cudos to the sound engineer. Everything sounded great. SFU threw out a wide range of songs from past to present. ‘The Enemy Within, Sick And Twisted, Torture Killer’ , are just a couple from the set. I’d not seen SFU until now. I highly recommend if you get the chance that they roll through your town, that you make it a point to see them.SFU are as good live as they are on disk. Plenty of hatred and thrashing for all. SFU are great at what they do and their out on the road to prove it.
