Piere’s , Ft. Wayne, Indiana

On I believe their fifth trek through the Fort here in Indiana, Crossfade are actually running on a well deserved headlining tour right now with No Address and April Sixth. Not the most well rounded of line-ups, but a full night of great hard rockin’ music from some of today’s hottest acts.
First up. A local favorite of the area is the band Sirface. A very talented young group of musicians playing selections off their debut album ,’For Reasons Unknown’. Sirface have a lot of potential. All original music. Well, if you call sounding like most every other band on the radio today original, than so be it. Sirface needs to be swooped up by a label soon. Especially if the Crossfade’s and Shinedown’s are what hot these days. A couple tracks they belted out tonight were, ‘ Back For You and The Turning Point’. keep it up guys, and you’ll have your own tour yet.
Next on deck, southern California rockers, April Sixth. Now these guys had a sound that was a little edgier than the rest on the bill. Pretty close to the same genres, yet a bit punkier I would say. April Sixth put on a highly energetic performance. Another great new act that you’re sure to be hearing a lot more of as time goes on. April Sixth are currently touring in support of their latest release, ‘In Memory’. A couple stand out tracks from the band are, ‘Roses, You Come Around and the first single off the album Dear Angel’.
And now No Address. Ever only hearing one song from them, one over played song , as cool as it is, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was thoroughly impressed. This is a band of musicians. Not just catchy, three cord radio hits, but actually very well written music. I have not yet heard the whole album yet but I’m sure I’ll be getting one soon. No Address put on a great set. Some selections they played for the evening were,’ A Step Away, How Could I?, Never Coming Back, Time and the radio hit, Sadie (When I’m Gone)’. An incredible set by a great up and comer.
And up with one of the hottest acts in America today. Crossfade. You guessed it. The crowd went wild. Especially the girls. I’ve only listened to the debut cd a couple of times, but I must say that Crossfade deliver it up much better live. I feel that way about a lot of acts so any of you Crossfade fans , I’m not saying that the album was all that bad. Just that, and after over 300 shows straight, Crossfade seem to be more of a live act than an album band. A great set was performed. Some songs included,’ Disco, Starless, Death Trend Setta, So Far Away , no Giving Up and of course Cold’. Good show guys. Keep it up and you’ll be selling out all of next tour.
So yeah, any and all of these bands need to be seen at any chance you can. These are the rockers of the future. Let’s make room for them , for I’m sure they’ll all be around for quite some time.
