Chick Publications has been around for as long as I can remember and I'm sure that each and every one of you have, at one time or another, come in contact with one of their publications. Public restrooms, pay phones, bars, shopping centers, fast food places, they seem to be everywhere and, the reason for that is simple...self righteous people who believe they're doing the work of God don't have a problem littering. My main concern with these publications are the fact that they use fear to direct you to their way of thinking, which, if you think about it, they are the same thing that they preach against. Read some of their comic tracts, which you can do online, and then read the rest of the stuff on their website and you'll understand what I'm saying because it's clear as day. Like any cult or brainwashing society, Chick Publications has their own agenda that they're trying to push and no matter how much common sense you use with them, they're firm in what they believe in. They're right, everyone else is wrong and if you don't confirm to their way of thinking, well, damn you all to hell. Another thing...and you can get this impression by reading their website...they act as if they're the ultimate word of God. They know it all because they know exactly what God is all about. Let me tell you something, never, and I mean never, trust anyone who claims to have all the answers because it's just not possible. No one on this planet will ever know everything there is to know about God. That's why we have this thing called faith...and, for the record, having faith does not mean you know it all. Religion is a very bad thing. It doesn't bring people together, it seperates them. And the bigger they become, the more dangerous they become. The Catholic church is a good example. Personally, as a "religious figure," the Pope is a worthless piece of shit who would be better off dead. As a human being, he's simply a tool for a "higher power" (and I'm not talking about God either) to use to push their own agenda. People fall down at his feet like he's Jesus in the flesh...and you don't see the Pope or any of his "people" trying to put a stop to that. The Pope is mighty proud to be a false idol to millions of mindless sheep who follow him blindly. Here's my take on God. I believe he's real and I believe your relationship with him, if you have one, is a personal thing. There's a lot of self righteous people out there who will condemn you if you doubt or question God. Blind faith is a very bad thing to have because that does not answer the questions you have and it doesn't lay any doubt you may have to rest. All you're doing is saying that you don't understand something or you're not sure of something, but, you accept it, no questions asked. That would be like putting a piece of shit in your mouth because someone told you it was a candy bar. When you're chewing on a peanut and it dawns on you what you're really chowing down on, that would open your eyes. So, before you allow someone to put a piece of shit in your mouth, be sure to check the wrapper. I send my one finger salute to this false god. Jack Chick is a bitch and you can tell him I said so. |
