By Paul Autry The issue that I have here in front of me to review is number eleven, which was released last year. But, it's not the only issue that I've seen and, to be quite honest, if you've seen one issue of this publication, you've seen them all. Sounds like I'm about to slam this one, doesn't it? Well, if that's what you think, sorry to say, you're wrong. Now, the content from issue to issue changes...obviously...but, what remains the same is the quality. As you can tell by the name of this publication, it's a magazine that's focused more towards the guitar player, which doesn't suprise me since the editor is the one and only Michael Knight, a fabulous guitar player who has made a name for himself in the independent music scene. Anyway, the interviews are always top notch and it's clear that the person doing the interview knows their subject and they know it well. Hell, the interviews alone make this magazine worth checking out. But, besides some good conversation, you also get various music reviews...metal, instrumental and so on and so forth and, once again, those who are doing the writing seem to know what they're talking about. It's a very good magazine and, like I said, if you've seen one issue, you've seen them all. Different subject matter with the same top quality, straight to the point and very informative writing style that loyal readers have come to expect from this magazine. From the few different issues that I've seen, that's the one thing that has always remained the same...and that's a damn good thing. WEB PAGE: http://www.guitar2001.com |
