Brazen Abbot Music DVD's are gettin' better and better, aren't they? Ah, yes, throw this one on that pile because, if anything, "A Decade Of Brazen Abbot" is rather unique. It's supposed to be a documentary and I usually find those to be a tad boring. But, this one held my attention...probably because of the way it was presented. You get a full concert experience. The thing is...during the show, the scene switches over to interview footage, behind the scenes stuff, television features...and it's like that through the whole movie. Usually, I would complain about something like that. I mean...feature the show as it is and throw all the other stuff on in a special features section. That's how a DVD should be. But, for some strange reason that I just can't seem to put my finger on, laying the whole thing out as one long feature worked and, in the end, that's what I really liked about this release. Yeah...and those interviews that I mentioned...well...you get to hear from all the singers who appeared on Brazen Abbot records...Jorn Lande, Glenn Hughes, Goran Edman, Thomas Victrom & Joe Lynn Turner. Speaking of Joe Lynn Turner, he's featured on the live performance. Bottom line...it's a great DVD that was put together really well. A must have for any true Brazen Abbot fan. |
