Molly Hatchet Well the South is rising again. Molly Hatchet ,now on their 15th studio recording and God knows the line-up changes which have occurred, with a glimpse of what has kept them thriving for so many years. Now I'm not going to get into much of the past of the band as if you are familiar or a fan, you should be up to date with their bio. What I will tell you is that Molly Hatchet bring down the house with this explosive set. The concert in question was recorded at the Hamburg Harley Days on July 24th, 2004. All songs are played to perfection and the sound/video quality is superb. Although the crowd was not as riled up as I think they should have been, it was the end of the night. And if any of you have ever attended at least one day at an event such as this, the days make for long ones. They showed plenty of appreciation for one of the finest southern rock bands in history by the end of the show. Very highly recommended for all. A must have for fans. Before I give a track listing, I thought it was cool that after the second song they threw a big thanks out to Spin/Skin Doctors( could not make out which one) and American Dog. American Dog as you know are friends of Ball-Buster. So hails to the Dog. Tracks listing is: 'Intro, Whiskey Man, Bounty Hunter, Gator Country, Moonlight Dancin' On A Bayou, Fall Of The Peacemakers, Devil's Canyon, Drum Solo, Beatin' The Odds, Son Of The South, The Creeper, The Rainbow Bridge, Keyboard Solo, Instrumental, Guitar Solo, Dreams I'll Never See, The Journey, Gone In 60 Seconds, Jukin' City, Flirtin' With Disaster.' A kick ass set. You also get a full CD version of the show. And yes of course, there are plenty of extras on the DVD. Behind the scenes stuff, a Bobby Ingram interview, Bio, Discography, picture gallery, ect…. I don't want to say too much as not to spoil the surprises. Just be prepared to be launched in Hamburg Harley Days 2004. And see a great band giving it their best. Even after all these years. Timeless. |
