Doro"Fur Immer, Forever, Para Siempre" DVD German metal siren Doro Pesch has had an illustrious career over the past twenty years, and this beautifully packaged two disc DVD chronicles a good bit of it! Starting of as the front woman of Warlock and working her way up to legendary status in the metal world, thanks to her good looks and fantastic voice, Doro has accomplished a lot over the last two decades, and this DVD highlights many of her achievements. Disc one features, for starters, almost all her video clips, beginning with Warlock classics like "Fight For Rock", "All We Are", and "Fur Immer" (I'm sure we all remember seeing these videos on Headbanger's Ball back in the day), and covering just about all of her solo material, right up to her latest album, "Fight". Also featured on disc one is a full length concert, filmed at a German nightclub called The Cave an her "Fight" tour. Twenty three songs in all, spanning her entire career from Warlock classics to her more recent solo material, and everything in between...she puts on a hell of a show! The second disc contain a variety of things-a Doro documentary, in which she discusses her career, past, present, and future (make sure you turn on the English subtitles, as she speaks in German); Doro performing and visiting fans in Australia; Doro visiting a fan named Rene at home, whose crib is a Doro shrine!; Doro singing and performing with a symphony on five occasions. Her voice sounds really beautiful in a classical environment, and she looks great in evening formal attire! The audiences is these performances consist of both classical fans and headbangers, and Doro is very well received by all. There are also two "Access All Areas" sections on disc two, which are just as they say-excerpts, throughout the years, of Doro performing live (around the world, including Wacken), in the studio (one part shows her recording the song "Salveje" with Savatage's Chris Caffery), and backstage and offstage, hanging with the fans. While most of these are more recent, a few go back to her Warlock days. One part even shows her getting suited up for the "Unholy Love" video. In others, she performs with other metal celebs like Lemmy and Jean Beauvoir. They really dug deep into the archives for some of this stuff! A great collection-more Doro than you can shake a stick at! A must for all her fans! http://www.doro.de |
