"Living In The Moonlight"
(MVD)
by Paul Autry

I know nothing about this band and, being so, I'm not about to write a history lesson here. There's a band bio featured on this release and if you really wanna know the who, what, where, when and why, check it out. If you happen to be familiar with the band and you wanna know about this release, well, that's what I'm here for.

"Living In The Moonlight" is a rather impressive release. The main feature is a twelve song concert performance. It looks as though it's a small club, although I could be wrong. The video itself is kind of up close and personal, it's almost as if you're right there, standing in front of the stage. I totally dig stuff like that. The show itself was recorded back in 1996 in a place called Szczecin.

There's a lot of additional bonus features, including some bootleg footage that was taken from the band's archives, eight songs in all. There's also four video clips featured here as well. About the only thing I couldn't really watch was the interviews. They're not speaking English and you have to read the subtitles and, I don't know about you, but, I have a thing about having to "read" the television set. I try to avoid it as much as possible.

The music...I don't know...I'd probably consider them sophisticated/progressive in style. You can tell by listening to them that they're exceptionally talented musicians who know what they're doing and they're totally into what they're doing. The running time on this one is 240 minutes and, believe me, whoever put this thing together has a great deal of respect for the band and they made every second count. If you're a fan of the band, you won't be disappointed with "Living In The Moonlight."
