Mojo Gurus What the hell is this? It's like a damn television commercial. Is this how they're trying to promote rock 'n' roll? I mean, really, are you in a band or are you trying to sell toothpaste or something like that? Hell, it's no secret that I have a very short attention span. But, this little whatever you wanna call it went by way too quick even by my standards. It's like, "Hello, I'm somebody famous, I'm in a band, we have a new record coming out...blah, blah, blah" and it's over. You didn't even give me any time to get interested in what you have to offer. There's a video clip, but, it's not even the full song...what's up with that? Add a little variety for fuck sake. Sure, you might have an explosive album that everyone's gonna wanna hear. But, let's be honest for a moment. In this day and age, most people are releasing crap. That's why file sharing is so popular. People don't wanna part with their hard earned money for something that's gonna disappoint them. The little bit you did let me hear, sure, it sounded okay. But, for all I know, the rest of your tunes could very well suck and, if that would be the case, I sure as hell wouldn't wanna tell other people to check you out. So what, big deal...Kevin Steele's in the band. I have a Roxx Gang album that I happen to enjoy, thank you very much. I'll go listen to that if I want some entertainment. At least I know, without a doubt, that it's a good album. You're not gonna impress someone by slappin' a five minute video on their television. I wasn't impressed, that's for sure. Once I finish typing up this little rant of mine, I won't even remember the name of the band because you didn't excite me. You didn't flick my switch. You probably busted your ass in order to make what you believe is a good record. So, why don't you take the time to promote your music the way it deserves to be promoted. Get people excited about it. Do you hear what I'm saying? If this was a goddamn Britney Spears album they were trying to promote, I'll bet there would be a lot more than five minutes to watch. That's what's wrong with the music world today. They'll give up an arm and a leg to promote something that's pure shit. But, you have something that might blow people away and it seems like you could care less. Get with the program. |
