Pro-Pain "Raw Video" is Pro-Pain's first official DVD release and, as a fan, I don't think you're gonna be disappointed because this is the shit. When you look at the big picture, it's kind of bare bones. You've got two main programs. The first feature is nothing more than a nine song collection of video clips, which were filmed between 1992 and 2004. I'm not sure if this is everything the band has done. But, it's always nice to see a band throw their video collection together. I personally believe that MTV killed the music video and the only way you can really see what you wanna see is if the band does something like this. I wish more people would do it. People dig this stuff and, if you really give a damn about your fan base, you'll do something like this. They'll love you for it. Cheers to Pro-Pain for going that extra mile in that respect. The second feature is a 16 song, live concert performance from 2001and, as the title of this release suggests, it's freakin' raw. One camera that doesn't move around all that much. It might zoom in and zoom out here and there. But, that's about it. For the most part, the entire band is in the frame and you get to watch them do what they do best and, on top of that, you get to see a bunch of people in front of the stage who are bouncin' around to the music, clearly getting into the bands performance. That's it. That's what you get. Pro-Pain...raw...and in your face. |
