Introduce your current line-up to our readers?

SOS consists of Adam Mastrosimone on vocals and bass, Kevin Matulich on guitars and Mike SOS also on guitars. We are currently seeking a new drummer.

How long has the group been in existance?

SOS formed in 1994 and has undergone a few lineup changes, but we're still rolling after 8 years of service to the indie rock world.

In your own words describe your band's sound & influences?

Heavy, melodic and driving, with an emphasis on dynamics and songwriting.

Name some bands in which you've shared the stage & opened?

We've been fortunate enough to share the stage with LA Guns, Absolute Bloom (f/ Keith Caputo, ex Life Of Agony), Core and about 1000 other bands from the Metro NYC area.

Where & what studio did the production take place of Adios Bandito ?

We did the whole project at Loft Studios in scenic Long Island, NY (Hicksville to be exact).

What is the current scene like in your local area & how does your band fit in?

The local scene in Queens is pretty non existent, but there are a few really cool bands out there. In terms of us fitting in, we're probably one of the longest standing bands on the circuit still, so we're pretty much in the pole position.

What's the bands long & short term goals as far as touring, recording, writeing ect ?

Short term goals include more promo for ADIOS BANDITO, a national radio campaign and finding a new drummer. As for long term goals, the sky's the limit.

What would you say is your biggest gripe about the music industry?

The emphasis on trend over good music is a huge gripe I have. Labels that put image over substance and for the most part, as well as the lack of artist development that exists today are my biggest gripes.

Has there been any label interest ?

None that I know of, but we'll keep hammering them.

Any thing you wish ad ?

Support your local scene. Nearly every major label act was an unsigned band at one time. Never forget your roots.
